Our Mission:
To act as an advocate for the homeless and potentially homeless in Macomb County by collaborating efforts that promote and sustain self-sufficiency
Homeless children in America
Our Vision:
A Community in which those affected by homelessness have access to supportive services and affordable housing.

The Macomb Homeless Coalition
is an umbrella association of providers of shelter and supportive services in Macomb County. We function as a collaborative planning body dedicated to alleviating homelessness. As the Continuum of Care system for Macomb County, the goal of the Coalition is to help the County's homeless citizens move from the streets to homes of their own.

On January 25th, 2007, the Macomb Homeless Coalition, with the help of numerous volunteers, conducted a Point in Time Count of the homeless individuals and families in Macomb County. On that one day, 1142 homeless individuals and family members were found in shelters, vehicles, hotels, and on the streets. Over 150 of these were children. In 2005, our PIT counted 947 homeless people.

Among the Coalition's members are not only shelter and human service agencies, but also government, businesses, landlords, community housing developers, the faith community, homeless and formerly homeless individuals and citizens who care.
