Riding my horse with no bridle or saddle

yup…the title says it all.

reminds me of riding in the lord of the rings! XD This is my show horse Skipa Lark Star, and I’m riding him like this for fun. I’ve practiced this alot with him, and my goal is to train our 4 year old Rocky to be able to do this someday. I’m working with him very lightly with a soft bit, mostly using leg cues and reins and vocals so he won’t rely on the bit. but i don’t think he will ever be as reliable as Skip here.

Br0kenDr3ams: wow! that’s impressive! I have managed to ride Rocky n a small enclosure without a bridle or saddle, and he did very well…but i’m sure it will take years to be able to ride in an open field on him without those things. he’s smart, but spunky. ;)
