If you're talking about a halter, follow the first answer's link. That's the site I used to learn about rope halters.

If you really mean bridles, I would reccomend you just buy one made of rope. I used a home made bridle on a trail ride because my bridle broke, and it ended up coming apart on the trail, even though we double knotted everything, used twine to tie the knots, and even a hot glue gun. It just didn't hold up. Trust me, that was not a good situation. (I ended up using my friends bridle because she had a halter on her horse underneath the bridle - we each had reins, so...yeah)
If you just like the look, there are many tack stores that sell rope bridles, and they have been professionally made, and will hold up better then if you make them yourself.

There are matching reins as well.
My friend has this bridle for each of her horses in lime, purple and turqouise, she didn't make them, but I have no idea where she got them.
