I’m planning on buying a collegiate bridle soon and I was wondering if anybody knew what the differences between a plain raised, fancy raised, and square raised bridle are?
thanks for the help! I always liked the stitching on bridles so I’m gonna get the fancy raised

There is actually not much difference The plain raised is just where the middle section of the nose band and brow band is raised so its not just flat and it is rounded. Square raised is where the raised portion is not as rounded but is more square. The fancy Raised is when the raised section has stitching detail on it like this http://www.justforponies.com/ProductImages/Tack2/BAmericanaFancy.jpg

All in all its mostly personal Preference and doesn’t make too much of difference!
Good Luck!!

I’ll try to answer your question to the best of my ability. From what I’ve seen when I googled pictures of each it’s referring to the brown band.

A plain raised bridle simply has a normal browband, but it is raised a bit I think

Fancy has s stitching pattern on it.

Square it looks like has a long raised rectangle on it.

    I hope this helps some.
