I was considering buying an alamo barrel saddle. Does anyone know about the quality, and is it a good brand?

Alamo make okay saddles; they’re not the cheapest out there but they definitely not the quality I would look for in a saddle I wanted to last. However I spend a lot of time in my saddle in some unforgiving country so I want something that is high quality. Barrel saddles don’t need to be as tough, but I would definitely look into other companies such as Corriente who hand make all their saddles, good quality for a decent price.

They send you this thing you put on your horse’s back that will mold its shape, and then have you take a bunch of pictures at different angles and send it in and they’ll make a custom saddle to fit your horse. I can’t remember the name of them.

There are many custom places but there is one called custom saddlery(that’s actually the name) they come out with test saddles you find the model you like the take the horses measurement as you said above and send you your saddle I LOVE MINE go to mysaddle.com

personally i think its the best store ever! especially the two new stores in MD in crofton and hunt valley!

I order from the catalogs and have found them to be fairly and competively priced.

5 out of 7 pieces of the polo set were wrong.
