What do you think of the wintec AP 2000 saddle???

Ok, ive been thinking about buying a Wintec AP 2000 saddle with CAIR and easy change gullet system and I was just wondering what other users think of this saddle.
First of all, what do you think of the equisuede?? Does it ware down after using it alot?
Also, some one told me it has no saddle bars. Is that true and if so what does that mean?

Is the 2000 AP saddle with its more features, worth the price difference between the 500???

Suede and synthetic saddles wear down quickly and do not have a good resale value as compared to fully leather made saddles.

The CAIR panels and easy change gullet systems are good technology and make saddle fitting and comfort a bit easier. The easy change system makes things easier if you have multiple horses that you ride but it does take 2 people on occasion to actually change the tree.

The Collegiates and Bates also have the gullet change system. I prefer the Collegiate brand over Bates and Wintec, though all three brands are nice.

Can I Show in a Wintec Saddle at Hunter/Jumper Shows?

I found one of the "not-so-ugly" Wintec saddles, and I LOVED the feel of it when I tried it out.
If I purchased it, can I show in it at hunter/jumper shows and on the flat?

Jumpers, yes definitely. Hunters, yes at the lower, non-rated levels. Hunters care a lot about fashion, and Wintecs are not in vogue.

I don’t know how many saddles have been sold worldwide, but I would have to say millions. Wintec got started in 1984, so they’ve been selling saddles for 25 years now. It’s not an exact number, but they’ve sold plenty.

Whats a Good Cheap Western Saddle in Australia (Wintec?)?

I am looking for a western saddle but dont have alot of money. Are the wintec saddles any good? Or are there any other brands people recommend!

I don’t ride western so I haven’t tried out the western saddles, however, I ride in a Status dressage saddle and it’s great. Really comfortable, light, barely shows any wear and tear.

It is as cheap as kincade (which I have ridden in and absolutely hate) and much cheaper than wintec.

I’d recommend you try one out at the local saddle store and see whether you like them.

I’m getting a horse with a wider back (I’m so excited) because he is a big beautiful horse. do you like wintec

yes! i only get to ride in a gel-seated wintec once in a while but they are like heaven for the horse rider! they are easy to maintain, schooling, primary and trillium show appropriate (maybe not a or b circut though) and super comfy. and another bonus: they have an interchangable gullet system! yay(clap clap) so if one day you have to sell your horse, your saddle will fit anyother horse you ride (unless its a really fat warm blood or a very anorexic TB lmao) good luck and go with wintec they are totally worth the price. oh ya congrats and have fun with ur new horsie!!!

Can I use Wintec 2000AP saddle in a hunt seat pleasure show?

I just bought a wintec 2000 AP saddle to show with but the saddle seems to have a higher back than the photo suggested. I know the rules for hunt seat say the back should be flat and I was unsure if this qualified. If you look at at a straight on photo off yahoo image search you should be able to see the hight, the cantle is about 3 1/2 to 4 inches higher than the pommel. thanks

I can tell you right now that I’ve never been to a show (Hunt Seat) where this saddle was used. You’re right, in terms that it probably won’t be a legal show saddle, depending on what show circuit you’re on. Local might let you use it, but anything above that probably won’t.
