Best online stores for quality tack?
February 252010
I’m going to show my almost 3-year old Appendix gelding for the first time this summer. I want to find QUALITY, simple, inexpensive tack that doesn’t have lots of bells and whistles to distract Danny. There are virtually no equestrian stores where I live, although north central ohio is full of "horse people." I’m just looking for things like D-ring bits, one-ear headstalls, plain snaffle bridles, really the simpler, while still inexpensive, the better. I just don’t see spending 30 dollars on a plain leather one-ear headstall, but almost all the stuff I’ve bought in the past, especially leather tack, is just plain crappy! I’m looking right now at Chick’s and SLT, but can’t find what I want. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

SLT is the best one that i know of, but if you go to google and look for quality saddles, i am sure that many different tack stores will come up :]

Try purchasing a horse magazine, there are normally adds. or even try looking up magazine names and companies they’d recommend. Hope this helps.
