StateLineTack.com or Horse.com?

March 92010

i was wondering where i should order horse tack online since i have no tack shops where i live so could you please tell me which you prefer?
thanks all

i prefer statelinetack for riding stuff (saddles, bridles halters) the high end stuff. Horse.com is better for barn stuff and fly spray stuff like that. Stateline has more new things and both have good qualities.

I have ordered from both and they are relatively equal. Horse.com might have a few more sale products. Another place that I have been happy with is Schnieder’s tack. I believe the website is sstack.com. Check it out.
    Good luck.

horse.com will probably have some better prices since I believe stateline is now owned by dover which is kinda pricey. I would just compare the items prices from both places (dont forget to look at shipping costs!) and just buy stuff from where you will save the most money. I would also recommend schneiders.

they have a ton of the same stuff, but when i ordered, i was origanally gonna order from stateline. but then i found out horse.com had the same stuff, and free shipping for over $49 instead of $99 AND my total amount was cheaper at horse.com

so i ordered from there. but they are both good

I’ve ordered from both, been happy. But I really prefer State line Tack. :] Just my preference, but Dover both of those.

Check the shipping rates, as I think SLT is more expensive.

However…when I ordered half chaps from STL couple months ago, they arrived in a Horse.com box! I think they might be the same thing now.

dover saddlery and state line(dover does not own state line, dover has their own retail stores and website) have the MOST of the same items for cheaper. slt has better prices. i believe horse.com and slt "work" together.everytime i order something from them, they come in a horse.com box. and right now SLT has free shipping on orders over 49 bucks. i bought a new bridle, it came a day later! horse.com is also good. but i think SLT has more english stuff.

try chicksaddlery.com as well. great prices! adorable stuff!

    good luck!

Both of these websites are pretty much the same so I think either one would be fine.

I bought two saddles from horse.com aka countrysupply…I will never order a saddle from them again, two pieces of crude. Safe bet would be stateline.
