What is a Baby Pad?

I was tack shopping online for a new saddle pad, and i kept coming across a ‘Baby Pad’. It looks like what i want, but i wasnt sure why it was called that. Is it ok to use for a 16.1 hh TB?
Epona–your link doesnt work….but i think i know what you mean. Thanks!

A baby pad is a very thin pad that goes under a half pad. H half pad is a pad that is very thick and shaped like the saddle but it does not come down to protect the sides of the horse where the flaps of the saddle hits which is why more people use a baby pad underneith it. It is fine to use on any horse but make sure that you use a half pad over it other wise it is not enough padding and could hurt your horses back.

  1. A baby pad goes under your other pad. Usually you see them used under a shaped pad, like here-
