Is it ok to use Murphys oil soap on saddlery?

I’ve used Murphy’s to CLEAN leather for decades. But then you MUST use a conditioner afterwards. I also use it as part of the ingredients for my own one step saddle conditioner/cleaner. I prefer the gel over the liquid Murphys, because you can get a nice lather out of it when cleaning the underside of western fenders, stirrup leathers etc. I like it a lot because of it’s smell…

I have used it and it works great. It is better than spending a fortune on fancy named saddle soaps and cleaners…use what ever works for you.
