How will you get the start-up capital for a Dover franchise? Does Dover even do franchises?

There are actually quite a few Dover Stores across the United States with more opening every year. You cannot simply "open" a Dover Store. They are controlled by owner in addition to a small committee. They decide where they want new stores to be built and once they have made that decision they hire people from that area, starting with a general manager who more or less is the "boss". If you are really serious about opening a tack store or going into a like horse business field, go to college and get a bachelor's degree.

I don't know where you live but in MD there are 3 Dover shops near me. They always seem to be packed. I know owning a retail shop is very time consuming. You might enjoy yourself more if you own a farm and train and sell horses that way you're spending more time with horses themselves not the stuff for them.

Thats a good idea! I don’t know if Dover is a kind of franchise where only people (owner) can open more?! But the dressage horses are true, they are good money and sell fast. Also, jumpers. Jumpers are way more expensive. I always shop online at Dover. If you could, great idea!! Good luck
