Any time you see a package saddle set for sale turn and walk the other direction!

First of all I've NEVER seen one that used "Australian" leather before outside of an Australian Stock saddle. Secondly, see the 3 year guarentee on the tree? That's another reason to question the quality.

Your best bet would be to find a saddle that's been gently used on ebay.

I honestly suggest re-checking eBay, and taking a look on Craigslist or Kijiji, and looking for a used saddle from a brand that sells for at least $1500 new.

Do not buy those $500 tack packages. They are incredibly cheaply made, and can seriously mess up a horse's back because in most instances, they will not fit well.
Just think about it- if a decent saddle sells for $1500 (and a good one for $2500), leathers are around $50+, and a good bridle is over $100... how can you expect to get anything quality at $500 for the whole set?

Also try http://www.tacktrader.com for used saddles.
References :
There are many tack stores that sell used tack for clients, and they are on consignment.
Also, in the Recycler, estate sales, and even putting a flyer on the cork board at local stables, and saddle shops usually have all kinds of "Wanted and For Sale" flayers to look through. So, don't hesitate to try different options. I guarantee you will be surprised on the results,
I know for a fact that there are many equine stables Ohio. Go on the web, and if you can get addresses of show stables and Training Centers. And e-mail them a "Looking For" flyer.
References :
I would try looking at craigslist for your nearest city and other close cities. If it is too far to drive you can probably talk them into shipping it like an ebay seller would do.

I just saw a really nice used kieffer all purpose saddle for sale for $350 in Oklahoma City a couple weeks ago. She was willing to throw in leathers, irons, and a pad for an extra $50. The saddle was still in great shape and retails new for several thousand dollars.

www.craigslist.com is def the place to look.
