I used Wintec 2000 AP saddle in a hunt seat; But, Its not comfortable for me. After that i had get English saddle with Saddle pad in reasonable price at http://www.agritura.com/index.php/cat/c1_Horse—Rider.html/category/Horse—Rider Its very comfortable for me and my horse. Such, English Saddle is always best.

If its a schooling show you'll be fine.

I can tell you right now that I've never been to a show (Hunt Seat) where this saddle was used. You're right, in terms that it probably won't be a legal show saddle, depending on what show circuit you're on. Local might let you use it, but anything above that probably won't.

Your best bet is to look at the rules of whatever shows you would be entering.

I wouldn't since the rules say the back should be flat.
