		<description>NO! english saddles are two sizes LARGER than western saddles. to find your seat size...simply: 
take a straight line from the saddle &quot;nail&quot; to the center of the cantle. this will measure saddle to the size. 17 and 17.5&quot; are the normal saddle sizes, while 18&quot; is for a little larger rider.  when you purchase one, &quot;N&quot; is narrow, &quot;M&#039;&#039; is medium, &quot;W&quot; is wide, and &quot;XW&quot; is extra wide.  you may also want to make a template of your horse&#039;s wither. you can easily do this with a bendable wire 20&quot; long. basically, you&#039;re going to form fit your horse&#039;s wither where the saddle will be sitting. then, transfer the horse&#039;s fitting wire to a piece of paper by tracing it.  you may also want to bring a picture of your horse&#039;s back along with you to the shop.
